PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL-Labor Finders International, Inc., the oldest and largest privately held industrial labor staffing franchise company in the United States is pleased to announce that the company has won two American Staffing Association's prestigious 2014 VOICE Awards, which recognizes outstanding advertising and marketing programs amongst ASA member companies and affiliated chapters. Labor Finders competed with other staffing firms with more than $100 million in annual sales.
The ASA Staffing VOICE Awards recognize the voice, originality, innovation, creativity, and effectiveness-VOICE-of ASA member firm communications campaigns. A panel of communications experts judge entries in four award classes based on general appeal and overall quality, content and message, originality of approach, target audience, and effectiveness in meeting campaign objectives.
The first VOICE Award was for Company Identification, titled"Labor Finders Commitment Wall Decal and Mobile"; targeted bothInternal Staff and Temporary Associates. Labor Finders participates in the annual client survey "Best of Staffing" and while the company has won the BOS distinction annually since its inception five years ago and this past year was awarded the Best of Staffing Diamond Award, a few clients were not 100% satisfied with their service.
Labor Finders takes customer satisfaction very seriously so the company developed an internal campaign to focus on five areas: Safety, Work Ethic, Appropriate Dress, Preparation and Timeliness. To drive these five important messages home on a daily basis, Labor Finders marketing team, led by Dan Shube, Chief Marketing Officer, designed two complementing pieces. "The first piece," stated Shube, "is a large, colorful and unique high-grade vinyl wall decal, which "Illustrates five different workers, each displaying the appropriate characteristic that Labor Finders pledges to provide to its clients every day. The second component was designed due to wall "clutter" in the offices. We needed to have a place to get our important commitment message seen, so we designed a mobile, which conveys the same five expectations our clients have, but instead of using people, the mobile uses images of objects."
Shube went on to say, "Our franchisees were thrilled to have both pieces displayed in their offices. Many of our temporary associates have taken notice of this important commitment and now, are dressing more appropriately, are more prepared for their job assignments and are on time. This commitment has improved the relationships with both our clients and our temporary associates."
The second VOICE Award was for Specialty Advertising, which recognized Labor Finders unique marketing endeavor, "A Fall Harvest", a TargetedAccount Campaign (TAC) Program. "The premise of the TAC is to target 20 prospective accounts that had a high likelihood of using their staffing services, yet, may represent a challenge due to a stonewalled gatekeeper, a hard-to-reach decision-maker or a tight relationship with a competitor. The objective of the TAC program was to develop new business by visiting potential clients using a unique-themed series of gifts that highlighted our staffing solutions and would help convert them to a new customer," said Shube.
The TAC program was a huge success, "It generated 131 new accounts while giving the Labor Finders sales force numerous fun, unique and conversational selling tools. Not bad for a $200.00 per office investment! In addition, some of the left over snacks paid for by the program were donated to the needy on Skid Row in Los Angelo's, California. And, now that we are winners of the VOICE Award…well, that is icing on the cake," said Shube.
"The ASA VOICE Awards, sponsored by CareerBuilder, (an ASA corporate partner,) showcases the truly exceptional programs of ASA member firms to strategically, creatively, and effectively communicate with candidates, employees, clients, and the public at large," said Richard Wahlquist, ASA president and chief executive officer. "ASA salutes all the VOICE Award winners, including Labor Finders for their communications programs that help to advance the interests of the staffing industry."
