A client in Fresno is seeking a skilled Seamstress with experience operating industrial sewing machines to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sewing, assembling, and finishing fabric materials according to specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
Your Day
Operate industrial sewing machines (e.g., single-needle, double-needle, overlock, serger).
Sew, stitch, hem, and assemble materials based on patterns or production requirements.
Inspect materials for defects before and after sewing.
Follow production instructions, measurements, and quality standards.
Maintain clean and organized work area, including routine machine cleaning.
Perform minor machine adjustments as needed (threading, tension settings, bobbin changes).
Meet daily production quotas and deadlines.
Work with supervisors and team members to maintain workflow efficiency.
Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
Your Experience
Previous experience as a seamstress, sewing machine operator, or textile worker.
Proficient in operating industrial sewing equipment.
Ability to read and follow patterns, measurements, or production instructions.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
Good hand eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to lift up to 25 40 pounds as needed.
Experience in commercial or factory production environments.
Familiarity with multiple machine types (e.g., walking foot, coverstitch, bar-tack).
Ability to work with heavy fabrics or specialty materials (canvas, vinyl, upholstery fabric).
