Labor Finders has multiple openings for Garage Door Helpers in and around the Alachua area. We are seeking candidates with recent and verifiable experience assisting with garage door installation, maintenance, and repair. This includes working with large commercial and residential overhead doors, handling heavy door panels and hardware, loading and unloading materials and equipment, operating basic hand and power tools, assisting with track installation and alignment, securing springs and assemblies under supervision, and performing other garage door support tasks as assigned.
This position requires experience handling heavy garage doors and related components. This is not an entry-level position.
Your Day
Start times vary between 7am and 9am; shifts are typically 8 hours, sometimes up to 10 depending on the workload. Jobsites will be in and around Alachua. Work includes assisting with loading materials, helping the installer throughout the installation process, and ensuring tools and equipment are organized and ready to use. You must be able to lift heavy materials safely and follow directions closely. Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite is required, as well as good communication with the office. Opportunities can become ongoing for those who show strong attendance, safety, and performance. Pay is based on experience, job requirements, and client feedback.
Your Experience
Minimum 6+ months verifiable experience working with garage door installation or repair, including handling heavy overhead doors and related components. Construction background preferred.
