If you know how to throw up spiral duct, hang flex, seal transitions, and hustle through overhead installs - this one’s for you. We’re hiring experienced Ductwork Installers / Sheet Metal Laborers for fast-moving commercial and light industrial HVAC projects in and around MIDWAY This isn’t helper work. You’ll be on jobs where the pace is high, the ceilings are open, and the crew is counting on you to deliver.
You’ll work side-by-side with lead installers and foremen, handling duct sections, cutting to size, sealing with mastic or tape, and making the kind of clean installs clients demand. If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and confident on a ladder or lift, we can keep you booked.
Your Day
Start times vary between 6:00 7:00 AM depending on the job site. Expect to work on commercial builds, tenant fit-outs, warehouses, and mechanical rooms across MIDWAY and surrounding cities. You’ll be strapping duct to trusses, hanging it from all-thread, working off ladders or scissor lifts, and installing registers, diffusers, and returns.
Most of the work is overhead, fast-paced, and highly physical. You’ll read layout drawings, measure runs, and seal transitions to spec. Some projects require lift certifications or OSHA cards, but if you’ve got the skills and can show up ready, you’ll fit in just fine.
Your Experience
6+ months of hands-on experience installing ductwork (commercial or large residential)
Know how to measure, cut, and connect spiral, flex, or rectangular duct systems
Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and reading simple mechanical drawings
Able to lift 50+ lbs and stay on your feet for 8 10 hour shifts
Own basic tools (snips, knife, tape, impact, etc.) and reliable transportation are required
