How A Wholesale Balloon Distribution Overcame High Turnover in Their Business

About This Business
A wholesale balloon company that packages and ships balloons. It has been in business since 1981. The distributor came to Labor Finders Mobile because it needed a reliable staff and was experiencing high turnover.
Our Staffing Solution*
To find new associates, we contacted our active pool of workers by calling, texting, and asking for referrals. To attract even more workers, we successfully advertised the various open positions for this distributor on our branch's dedicated Facebook page. To ensure we could provide the highest number of workers to the distributor's warehouse, we split the cost of using a transportation company to take associates to and from the job site.
Challenges We Overcame Together*
We found a high turnover rate for the associates we sent to this business. The contributing factor has been the pay rate, in which the client determines each associate's starting rate of pay. While we couldn’t raise the pay rate, we did highlight the other great benefits of working with this wholesale company. In our job advertisements, we touted the free transportation to and from the warehouse, the holiday pay after 90 days of continuous service, and the fact that the position could lead to permanent full-time work.
The Wholesale Distributor’s Results
By providing transportation and highlighting the benefits of working with this company, we provided a large team of workers to keep their balloon shipping and distribution running smoothly. We still have associates working with the distributor, and we’ve been their staffing partner since 2004.
