SANTA MARIA, CA — Labor Finders, the oldest and largest privately held industrial staffing company in the U.S., today announced its “Employee of the Year” winner. With nominations spanning hundreds of staffing offices across the country, the company has named Jose Noyola of Santa Maria, CA, as the 2025 national winner.
Upon joining Labor Finders in 2023, Mr. Noyola had picked up construction skills and certifications from trade school, but despite his classroom training, he had little real-world, hands-on construction experience. Trading in his fast food job for an opportunity to leverage his newly-learned skills in the field, Noyola was quickly put to work by Labor Finders’ Santa Maria office. His impressive work ethic and his willingness to listen and be coached by his supervisors allowed Noyola to turn a single-day assignment into a series of multi-month engagements with local construction firms, sharpening his skills and gaining exposure to new career opportunities. The company’s annual contest marks the 15th consecutive year that Labor Finders has recognized an outstanding temporary associate from among its vast, coast-to-coast workforce.
“Since Labor Finders was established in 1975, our company has been ‘driving success and changing lives,’ and Jose Noyola delivers on that mission with his positive attitude, and especially his capacity to continue to learn and grow,” said Jeffrey Burnett, CEO of Labor Finders. “Our outstanding temporary associates represent best-in-class talent, and this annual award allows us to showcase the primary reason we have been leaders in the industrial staffing sector for 50 years.”
As Labor Finders’ “Employee of the Year” winner, Mr. Noyola will be awarded a $3,000 check, along with a commemorative plaque. Under the leadership of branch manager James Satlawa, the Santa Maria office will also be recognized for its efforts, receiving the third annual “Newt Burnett Changing Lives Award,” named after Labor Finders’ founder. Additionally, Noyola will represent Labor Finders as the company’s nominee for the American Staffing Association (ASA) Employee of the Year award, a prestigious recognition given to an outstanding temporary or contract employee in the staffing industry.
A highly sought-after employee, Jose Noyola has received consistent accolades from the Labor Finders clients who have been fortunate to have him assigned to their account. Noyola has dramatically increased his marketability over time, by sharpening his general construction skills through the hands-on experience his assignments have provided him, as well as the exposure to new career paths, such as a lucrative assignment in commercial framing. Thanks to his willingness to continue to learn and to expand his skill set, both Mr. Noyola’s confidence level and his professional network have grown dramatically.
“The experiences I have gotten through Labor Finders have helped me to achieve my dream of a career in construction, and I know that even greater success will follow now,” said Noyola. "I am proud of this meaningful accomplishment, and thankful to the Santa Maria Labor Finders team that has had my back this whole time."
