Labor Finders is hiring Materials Handlers for work on multiple sites in the Jacksonville area within a truss manufacturing facility. In this role, you will help keep production moving by receiving, storing, and distributing materials such as lumber, metal plates, and hardware. You will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, measuring and marking lumber accurately for production, assisting in the assembly and movement of roof trusses and floor joists, performing inventory checks, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Your Day
Day and night shifts are available, with shifts typically lasting up to 10 hours, Monday through Friday, offering steady full-time hours. You will be working in an outdoor setting where teamwork and meeting production deadlines are essential. The environment is fast-paced and focused on quality standards. Reliable transportation is required, along with consistent communication with the office regarding assignments. Strong attendance and performance can lead to long-term opportunities.
Your Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience as a carpenter helper or in a similar construction role. A strong ability to read a tape measure accurately is required and will be tested. You must bring your own tape measure and hammer. The position requires the ability to stand for up to 10 hours and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Applicants should have a basic understanding of production operations and material organization, strong attention to detail, the ability to follow safety guidelines, and a dependable, team-oriented work ethic.
