We are seeking an experienced and dependable Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with manual machining, lathes, and milling machines, along with experience operating Mazak machinery.
This position requires someone who understands machining processes, can work from drawings and measurements, and takes pride in producing accurate, quality parts. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, precision, and productivity.
Your Day
Operate manual lathes and milling machines to produce and modify parts
Set up and operate Mazak machines according to job requirements
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications
Take accurate measurements using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
Select and properly use cutting tools, tooling, and fixtures
Perform machining operations while maintaining required tolerances and specifications
Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
Make necessary adjustments to machines and tooling
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
Work independently while meeting production deadlines
Your Experience
Previous professional machining experience required
Hands-on experience with manual machining
Experience operating manual lathes and milling machines
Experience with Mazak machines strongly preferred
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints
Knowledge of machining tools, materials, speeds, feeds, and tolerances
Experience using precision measuring instruments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to stand for extended periods
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and moving throughout the workday
Ability to lift and move materials and machine components as required
Ability to work safely around machinery, metal materials, cutting tools, and shop equipment
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
