By the time the first weekend of the March college basketball tourney is over, 97% of the nation’s tournament pool brackets will most likely already be busted. Although making selections before the games start can be a captivating activity, it can also be a maddening exercise in guesswork. Which #3 seed is going to be upset in the first round by a Cinderella sweetheart team? Which #1 seed won’t make it out of the round of 32? Most bracket contest participants don’t follow the sport closely enough throughout the regular season to do much more than take a blind stab.

#4 Seed: “Dependable Workers” vs. #5 Seed: “Blue Collar Focus

This was a tight battle – “Blue Collar Focus” brought the heat and played a great game, bringing both Skilled and Unskilled labor to the court and matching up well with great companies. But “Dependable Workers” squeaked out the victory to advance, because of their clutch performance in crunch time. A well-deserved victory moved them forward!

#3 Seed: “Predictable Costs” vs. #6 Seed: “Wide Industry Coverage

What a contest! “Wide Industry Coverage” went up early, due to their amazing versatility. They seem to have players for every situation, from Construction, to Light Industrial, to Hospitality and Special Events. . . you name it. But late in the game, “Predictable Costs” proved why they were a fan favorite, winning the race slow and steady. They must have ice water in their veins – they never lost focus for a second.

#2 Seed: “Local Team” vs. #7 Seed: “Training and Upskilling

This one was a treat to watch – “Training and Upskilling” started strong, and just seemed to keep getting stronger and stronger throughout the game, just like Labor Finders associates who pick up new skills and certifications to make them even more valuable to our clients. But it was “Local Team” who was always in the right place at the right time, with what seemed like close to 200 branches offering tight coverage across 24 states, coming down with every rebound, picking up every loose ball, and taking it right to the hoop.

#1 Seed: “We Make It EASY” vs. #8 Seed: “True Staffing Partner

First of all, how did the selection committee drop “True Staffing Partner” all the way down to 8th Seed??  They got robbed on Selection Sunday Their regular season performance was so strong, and their team chemistry is SO good, experts agree that “Partner” deserved way better. But at the end of the day, “We Make It EASY” won in a romp, taking home the tournament trophy. Because that is Labor Finders’ reason for being – Our value proposition is making it EASY for our clients to tap into a flexible work force, so that they can accelerate their success We may not be objective, but we’d like to think we do that better than anyone else out there. And we know our players have way more heart than the competition.
