We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security System Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of security systems to ensure the safety and security of our clients' properties. If you have a strong background in cabling, camera installations, and system diagnostics, we want to hear from you!
Your Day
Install and configure security cameras, including wiring, mounting, and integration with monitoring software.Lay, run, and terminate CAT 4 cables (and similar) for security system networks, ensuring compliance with industry standards.Set up and program security control panels, access control systems, and alarm components.Perform troubleshooting and repairs on existing security systems, identifying issues with hardware, software, or connectivity.Conduct site surveys to assess client needs and recommend appropriate security solutions.Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure installations meet specifications and deadlines.Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and system configurations.Adhere to all safety protocols and local regulations during on-site work.

Your Experience
Proven experience in CAT 4 cable laying, running, termination, and testing.Hands-on expertise in installing security cameras, control panels, and related equipment.Strong troubleshooting skills for security systems, including diagnosing electrical, network, and hardware faults.Familiarity with tools and equipment used in security installations (e.g., crimpers, testers, drills).High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification (e.g., in electronics or security systems) is a plus.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site work.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, heights).Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Prior experience in the security or low-voltage industry preferred (2+ years).
