brpstrongThe job responsibilities emmay/em include:/strongbrul liApplying paints, stains, and coatings to interior and exterior walls, new buildings, and other structural surfaces./li liReading blueprints/instructions and examining surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary./li liMaking on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc./li liPreparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc./li liFilling cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)./li liMixing paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture./li liPainting surfaces according to instructions with various tools./li liApplying varnish and other finishes./li liCarrying or lifting heavy objects as well as squatting, kneeling, bending, crawling, and working awkward positions./li liCalculating costs and negotiating prices./li liFollowing all hea
