You’ll be packing, lifting, wrapping, unloading, and staging - but it’s more than just heavy lifting. Clients trust you to protect their valuables, move fast without breaking anything, and follow directions on the fly.
Your Day
Most moves start early - expect 6 7 AM calls. Jobs vary daily and may involve local residential moves, business relocations, storage cleanouts, or furniture assembly. You’ll work indoors and outdoors, often in hot conditions, lifting heavy objects like furniture, appliances, or boxes.
You’ll need your own reliable transportation, and strong communication with the office is a must - moves often change quickly. Some shifts may include overtime or weekend hours.
Your Experience
Minimum 6+ months of experience in general labor, moving, or warehouse work
Able to safely lift and carry up to 75 lbs repeatedly
Comfortable using dollies, straps, and hand tools for disassembly/reassembly
Professional attitude, customer service focused, and team-oriented
Must have your own transportation to reach job sites across TALLAHASSEE
Bonus Points If You:
Have experience with commercial moves, staging, or event setups
Can follow manifests or inventories and complete basic paperwork
Are comfortable driving a box truck (CDL/DOT required)
Hold an OSHA 10 or first aid certification
