Mechanical Engineer – Chico - Engineering Job in Chico, CA

We are helping our client, a company based in Chico, CA, find a skilled mechanical engineer to join their team in a project-based role. The engineer will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing automated equipment used in manufacturing. The ideal candidate should be proficient in reading and modifying 3D drawings (Autodesk Inventor Pro) and comfortable with wiring and PLC programming. Experience with building equipment from various parts, like pumps, motors, sensors, and control systems, is important. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn quickly. The position is expected to last 4-5 months, with the potential for a full-time offer depending on performance. In addition to the hands-on work, the project will be installed overseas, and there is an exciting opportunity to travel to a tropical destination in the Pacific for one week to train end users.
